Abingdon Young Farmers Club (YFC)

YFC is an organisation for young people with an interest in the countryside. You will of course find people involved with agriculture in the clubs but also from every other walk of life. Anyone, male or female, between the ages of 10-26 can join (Abingdon Junior Club are for ages 10-16). If you are over the membership age you can become an associate member and still remain in contact with your club.
YFC is run entirely by members within the membership ages. The club has a committee which is elected by the members and all club decision are made entirely democratically.
The objectives of the YFC movement are: “to ensure members have every opportunity to develop skills in participation, decision making, communication, team work, leadership and practical vocational skills and in doing so learn to appreciate and support the community and rural environment in which they live.”
YFC has a range of social events and parties for every taste throughout the year. We also hold fundraising events for charity, competitions (at county area and national level), sporting events and of course regular club meetings featuring talks and visits to local places of interest. Why don't you come and join in the fun, meeting lots of active people from across the County to have a laugh and make the most of your evenings?!
